Here's how it works: for each ticket purchased, half of the proceeds goes towards the costs of our upcoming Cancer Warriors Walk/Run As One, and the other half goes into the prize pool. As more tickets are sold, the jackpot grows, making the prize even more enticing. The winner of the raffle is then chosen through a random drawing, where luck could be on anyone's side.

Proceeds from this raffle go to covering costs for our upcoming run event in September. Funds will be used for things like the park rental fee, event management fees with our race host, general supplies for the event, marketing and anything else pertinent to the event’s success. Any funds not used for the event will be saved for future events and our ongoing mission of supporting cancer warriors.

How Will I Receive My Ticket(s)?

After purchasing ticket(s) you will receive an email with confirmation, and a virtual representation of your ticket(s). Every ticket purchase will be assigned a unique identifier that will be used to draw the winner.

When Will The Winner Be Drawn?

July 21st, 2023 at 8:00pm, Pacific Standard Time. We will be hosting a LIVE drawing on Facebook, so be sure to follow our page! All particpants will also be notified of the results via email, we will post the results on our social media pages as well. Use the buttons below to follow us!

How Will The Winner Be Drawn?

Names and unique ticket codes will be written on paper slips and placed into a container. On the draw date/time, our President, Leah Gaskins will draw one slip from the container and this will be our winner! We plan on doing the drawing LIVE on Facebook! So please be sure to follow our Facebook Page!

  • Almost everyone, due to Oregon gaming laws participants must be at least 18 years of age or older. If the selected winner is under the age of 18, a new winner will be drawn.

  • Yes, per Oregon gaming law any winnings you receive are considered taxable. The winner will be responsible for reporting their winnings. Learn more on the Oregon DOJ website here.

  • Yes! Simply use the “Write us a comment” option during the signup process and let us know you don’t want to be entered into the drawing.

Cancer Creates Warriors is a non-profit organization registered under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our EIN (Employer Identification Number) is 85-1011341. We are dedicated to empowering individuals battling cancer to become courageous warriors in their fight against the disease.

As a gesture of gratitude for the generous support we receive, we provide donation receipts to our valued donors. These receipts serve as official documentation of their contribution to our cause. Once donors make a contribution to our organization, they can expect to receive a receipt for their donation.

Additionally, we understand that some donors may require receipts upon request.
